The Beetle Box
The Beetle Box

This upcycled glass box holds two of the shiniest beetles I've ever seen. The blue one is a Blue Longhorn Beetle (Glenea celestis) and the other is a Metallic Rainbow Jewel Beetle (Cyphogastra javanica) who's peering out the box.
Dried moss, various bones, snail shells, part of a wasp nest, bark, sticks, oak tree bits, and snake skin make up the forest floor.
One of the feet on this box was broken, so I fixed it with a bone, you can see it in some of the pictures.
The box measures 4" long x 4" wide x 3" tall and the top opens so it is not a sealed piece.
Keep in a dry, cool area and out of direct sunlight to protect the beetles.
